I am just now hearing the news of Lorna's passing. I am so sorry for your loss! Please know that your Mom was a wonderful friend to my Mom, Dawn Peterson Gastaldo, They were sorority sisters and life long friends. Our Dad's were life long friends as well. I will miss Lorna very much. She always looked on the bright side and found ways to make me laugh. Beautiful memories of a beautiful person. I grew up referring to her as "Aunt Lorna" and could never break the habit. I never really wanted to. Our Moms and Dads are together again in Heaven. What a party they must be having!

Wishing love and comfort to family and friends. I absolutely adored Mrs. Holloway as an instructor in college and as one of the kindest persons I've ever known. Some teachers you just never forget, because they inspire you to be the very best that you can be. Thank you for pushing me to my ultimate limits of a perfect 20 point essay in World Civ. Mrs. Holloway's passion for preparing students and teaching them to excel in greater ways than they ever dreamed will not be easily followed. I am deeply saddened to learn of your passing and am so very grateful to have had the pleasure of being one of your students.

Lorna was my precious friend for 13 years after our move to Oklahoma, and we melded our patriotism, historical and educational energies in the local chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was Vice Regent of the chapter whenever I served as Regent, then she became presiding officer as Regent. Following in Lorna's steps as she was chairman in several leadership roles, members have been in awe and she will be missed for her lovely personality, courtesy, involvement in Oklahoma DAR, her church and community. And, oh, those thousands of quilt stitches she put into her quilts....just awesome. Thinking she has become one of God's special angels.

To Lorna's family: my husband and I live next to Kelly in Tulsa. We had the privilege of meeting Lorna several years ago. She was a caring and delightful lady, and we always enjoyed her visits. It breaks our hearts to know she is gone...she was truly a ray of sunshine in this world. She will be sorely missed!

To Tammy, Kelly, Debby & Vicki, I pray that Our Savior will give you comfort and His Perfect Peace. Lorna was a good friend of mine for many years. She was my back fence neighbor. After Bill passed away, we went to movies together & would go out to eat afterwards. We both loved to talk. She would tell stories about her students, and I would tell nursing stories. And we shared our family ups and downs. For the past 9 years, we have gone to Bible study every Tuesday. And then out to eat with our lunch bunch. She was very intelligent, very compassionate and so fun. She was my friend that I could tell her things that I couldn't tell anyone else. And we were never together that we didn't laugh. There are no words to tell you how much I've missed her these past 4 months. There are things in my home, many pictures that remind me of her. I cherish the good times we've had together. I rejoice that she is in heaven. I love you, Lorna and I will see you soon. BFF LaNora
