General Price List - Dated July 4, 2022
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide for our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
SERVICES, FACILITIES, STAFF, AND AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT
BASIC SERVICE FEE………….…………………………...............................................................……… $2,500
Our fee for basic services includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to the initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; arrangement of the funeral; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notices; staff assistance prior to and following the funeral, including coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral such as cemetery, crematory, ministers, musicians, and others. Also included in these charges are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, property taxes, telephone and utility, maintenance custodial service, parking lot and grounds, as well as various religious and fraternal paraphernalia, business equipment, and supervision of these basic minimum services. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select.
An additional fee for weekend and available holidays, will be applied to the basic service fee………….$400
(This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)
EMBALMING………………………………………………............................................................…………$700
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. Oklahoma law does require embalming if final disposition does not occur within 24 hours. Body must be embalmed within 24hrs for public viewing.

This list does not include prices for certain items you may ask us to buy for you, such as cemetery, crematory services, honorariums, flowers, and newspaper notices. Prices for those items will be shown on your bill or the statements describing the funeral goods and services you selected. We charge you for our services in buying these items.

This charge does not include embalming, viewing, merchandise or services. Optional services could be but are not limited to special family viewing, graveside committal, delivery of cremains, mailing of cremains, or full traditional funeral service.
Alternative containers are available if you wish to use one. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard, corrugated cardboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The purchaser may provide the alternative container and would be subject to the crematory's rules. [Griffin Funeral Home does not require an alternative container for cremation]. If for any reason the purchaser would like to use an alternative container or the purchaser chooses a crematory that would require the use of one, it would be added to the cost of the cremation.

None of the cremation charges listed include cash advance items, e.g., medical examiner fees, crematory fees or Mileage fees.
