Theresa Ann Burkett, age 80, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Lone Grove, Okla.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Bill Black Officiating.

Theresa was born on January 26, 1944, to Albert Bethune and Greetith Thompson, in Ada, Okla. She moved to Lone Grove in 1975, where she worked in Aviation and Electronics. She married Ronald J. Burkett on December 26, 1984, in Gainesville, Texas. Theresa was very active in her community and a civic-minded person. Always extending herself to the community, she served two terms as mayor of Lone Grove, serving also on the City Council and was on the board for planning and zoning. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ronald J. Burkett, and infant son.

Theresa is survived by her two sons, Keith Raney and Neil Raney, both of Lone Grove, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Step-daughter, Heather Williams, of Joshua, TX., and step-son, Lanio Burkett, of Grandview, TX., niece, Cathy Jobe of Lancaster, CA., Two very special friends, Carlos and Barbra Ramon.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Keith Raney, Neil Raney, Justin Raney, Derek Raney, Jeff Smith and Rick Massey. Honorary bearers will be Kraig Raney, Shain Raney, Carson Brewer, Coby Brewer, Carlos Ramon, Darrin Brewer, and Joe Bob Bennett.
