Obituary of Rueben Isiah-Najwa Marris

Rueben Isiah-Najwa Marris, age 23, passed away on September 7, 2024, in Plano, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Enville Cemetery with Pastor Greg Newhouse officiating. Rueben was born on December 27, 2000, in Ardmore, Okla. to Kristie Marris and Joneil Jones. He attended Ardmore and Marietta schools and graduated in Tahlequah, Okla. He went to work for Top Tech Heat and Air, working toward this Journeyman’s License, where he has worked since. Rueben loved to go fishing, four-wheeling, and going shooting, but if you asked him, he loved his job and working. But, he never loved anything more than his three daughters. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Cherrie Rambo, and great-uncle, Charles Wallace, best friend Demitchell Calvin. Rueben is survived by the mother of his children, Tieronay Banks, children, Za’rhya Marris, Zyndayaa Marris, and Zhari Ayana Marris, mother, Kristie Marris, father, Joneil Jones, siblings, Shantara Rambo, Nez’Joneil Marris, Latauya Marris, Aaliyah Marris, Charles Autry, Kelvin Nugent, Kelby Warren and Jeramiah Haggard, maternal grandmother, Gaylynn Marris and paternal grandfather, Rueben Rambo and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home. Casket bearers will be; Brian James, Jason Payne, Michael Jones, Hunner Payne, Marvin Noland, Brad Yelton Jr., and Kelvin Nugent.
