Sandra Shannon, age 67, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church in Milo, Okla. Interment to follow in Hickory Cemetery.

Sandra was born in Milo, Okla., on January 11, 1957, to Leo L. Shannon and Laura Belle (Wright) Shannon. She attended Graham Schools and left early due to her disability. Sandra loved to cook for her family and was very devoted to them. She loved baby-sitting her nieces and nephews. Sandra was a lifetime member at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church of Milo, Okla. She will be remembered for her bubbly and happy personality and her glowing smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Laura Shannon, sisters: Yvonne Abram, Willie Lee, Ortha Dean Anderson, Shirley Jean Brown, and Pamela Stevenson, brothers: Lincoln Shannon, Tilmon Shannon, and Clenard Shannon; three brothers-in-law: Johnnie Abram, Henry Lee, and Eugene Brown; and two sisters-in-law: Grace Shannon and Hattie Shannon.

Sandra is survived by her brother, Earl Shannon and wife, Arzelia. Sisters: Peggy Stevenson and husband, James, Vernita Traylor, and Rae Ann Shannon; brothers-in-law: Gilbert Anderson, and Larry Stevenson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, August 12, 2024, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore, OK.
