Obituary of Lee Roy Mose

Lee Roy Mose, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at his home in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with interment to follow at Seaman First Class Billy Turner Ardmore Veterans Cemetery of Ardmore. Lee Roy was born on July 26, 1945, to Jodie Mose and Betty (Lewis) Mose at Ardmore, Okla. He graduated from Dickson High School in Dickson, Okla., in 1964. Lee Roy served in the Vietnam War with the United States Army. After being Honorably Discharged, he then served with the Army National Guard. Lee Roy loved his time in the Army and was proud he served. He was very proud when his grandson joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Lee Roy and Melissa were together over 54 years. They got married at Gainesville, Texas. He retired from the Chickasaw Children’s Village in Kingston, Okla. Lee Roy was baptized at Ardmore Baptist Indian Church in 1995. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and, when he could, he watched the great-grandchildren play. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Rhonda Mose, two sisters, and one brother. Lee Roy is survived by wife, Melissa, of the home. Grandchildren: Kevin Bob (Alayna) of Ardmore, Dillon Bob of Ada, Okla., and Lea Bob (DaMarcus) of Texas. Great-grandchildren: Kaleb Bob, Kaden Bob, and Karley Bob. Brother-in-law, Marcus Wilmond and wife, Serena, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Dillon Bob, Kevin Bob, Dustin Wilmond, Todd Wilmond, Xavier Wilmond, and Lance Cully. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Good Shepherd for taking care of Lee Roy. There will be a visitation in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
