Kenneth Howard Smith, age 76, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Okla., with The Reverend Allen Dorries, officiating. Kenneth was born on November 30, 1939, to George C. Smith and Nellie Victoria (Edwards) Smith, in Waurika, Okla. Kenneth attended Dickson Schools and worked at Pruitt’s. He worked for LTV Corp. in Grand Prairie, Texas. Kenneth moved to Ardmore and began working at the Slaughter Company and worked with sheet metal bending and assembly. He retired after 20 years with the company. Kenneth married Wanda Louise Webb on October 24, 1978. He was an avid fan of football and Nascar, and enjoyed playing slots at the local casino. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: G.C. Smith, Vondee Smith, Clyde Smith, Rusty Smith, Bobby Smith, Jerry Smith, Doug Smith, and Wally Smith, sisters: Ruth Palmer and Nelda Knight, and great-grandson, Kason Scott York. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Wanda Smith, children: Kenneth Howard Smith Jr. and wife Sue, Kendra Monk, Kimberly Smith and husband Matthew Horn, Laurna Ingle, and Jeff Dickerson and wife Kelly. Grandchildren: Brandon Smith and wife Linh, Dillon Gardner, Charlie Gardner, Bridget Smith, Alishia M. Smith, Christina Bond, Alicia Smith, Jessica Ingle, Brandi Salyer and husband Bobby, Jade Gardner, Sidney Gardner, Thirteen great-grandchildren and brother, Bill Smith. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, February 3, 2016, at Griffin~Hillcrest, Ardmore, Okla.
