Obituary of Noah “Wayne” Ralls

Noah “Wayne” Ralls entered Heaven's gates on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the age of 98, at Ardmore, Okla. Services are scheduled for him at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 5, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church, Ardmore, with Pastor Terry Tolbert officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore. Noah "Wayne" Ralls was born on March 13th, 1926, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Benjamin “Earnest” Ralls and Mary Louise (Kelley) Ralls. Wayne attended school in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, as a youngster. When the family moved to Ardmore, he attended Jefferson Elementary School. He also attended Ardmore High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later received an Honorary Diploma from Ardmore High School. Wayne, a Technician 5, addressed as a Corporal, was enlisted in the 385th Anti-Tank Regiment during his service to our country. Wayne earned the EAME Campaign Ribbon, two Bronze Stars, a Good Conduct Medal, and an Over-Seas Service Bar. He was released from duty with an Honorable Discharge on July 4th, 1946. He was inducted into the Hall of Honor at the Ardmore Military Memorial Museum on September 9th, 2019. He served in Ireland, England, France, and Germany. He took part in the battle at the Siegfried Line and helped to liberate two concentration camps during his honorable service. Wayne married the love of his life, Miss Ozelle McDonald, on April 3, 1947. They had three children and were members of Trinity Baptist Church. Wayne helped build the first building for Trinity Baptist Church, then known as Northeast Baptist Church. While attending, he served his church as a Royal Ambassador teacher and influenced many lives with his devotion to Jesus Christ and the church. Wayne had many jobs around Ardmore and the surrounding communities. He bought and sold cars, worked for Tyler and Simpson Distribution, Murphy Machine Company, and James Supply. After retirement, he worked at Lakeview Golf Course in the Pro-Shop, and he made it his mission to fish every known pond he could find in the surrounding area and some unknown. Noah was preceded in death by his wife, Ozelle Ralls, son, Larry Ralls and wife, Ann Ralls, daughter Jo Beth Thurman and husband, Greg Thurman, grandsons, Shawn Thurman, and Wesley Thurman, his parents, his brothers: Kelley Ralls, Harrell Ralls, and Jack Ralls, and his sisters: Pat Keith, Dottie Kallio, and Joan Rush. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Glen Ralls and wife, Gail, of Ardmore, grandchildren: Stephanie Brinton, Lidia Cebula, Christopher Ralls, Kelsey Ralls, Jennifer Moore, Carmella Geurin, Shaharra Brooks, and Jimmy Dale Ralls, twenty great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Laura McDonald. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, July 4, 2024, at Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore,
