Norma Jean Summers, 83, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Healdton, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Hillcrest Memorial Park of Ardmore with Mike Biber officiating Norma was born on January 8, 1941, at Fort Smith, Arkansas. She graduated from Plainview High School, Ardmore, in 1959. Norma married Robert Leo West on January 8, 1960, and from this union came her children. After her divorce from Robert, she married Bennie Summers in 2007, and that union ended in 2015. She worked for many years as the Manager of the Hallmark Store, Ardmore, before she retired. Norma loved to dance, create arts, crafts, and jewelry, going to garage sales, and just having fun in life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene Shurley and Dean McMahan Shurley, brother, Eugene Merryman, brother-in-law, Thomas Rosser, and great-nephew, Tyler Johnston. Norma is survived by her children: son, Robbert Curtis West, and daughter, Regina Gail Pereira, her three grandchildren: Shane West and wife, Kristen, Chase West, and Jade Pereira, and great-granddaughter, Elle West. Siblings: Mike Biber and wife, Linda, Dene Berry and husband, Dan, and Becki Griffin and husband, Roger. Numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
