Obituary of Trudy (Easley) Lockwood

Trudy (Easley) Lockwood, age 66, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 12, 2024, at Orr Cemetery in Love County, Oklahoma. The Reverend Steve Skinner will officiate. Services under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore. Trudy was born on March 19, 1957, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to William “Bill” Easley and Pearl (Stubbs) Easley. The family moved to Ardmore in 1972 and Trudy attended Ardmore schools, later earning her GED. She married Larry McKenzie on December 10, 1973, at Ardmore, Okla., and became a homemaker. Their marriage ended in 1979. Trudy met and then married Steve Lockwood on October 17, 1980, at Ardmore, Okla. Their marriage ended in 2007. Trudy worked as a housekeeper for many years. In 1999, she went to work for Polly Murphy Law Office in Ardmore. Trudy enjoyed reading and loved spending time gardening and watching the birds. She was devoted to her grandchildren and being with them would be the highlight of her day. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, William Payton Lockwood, granddaughter, Jessica McKenzie, and sister, Suzan Stetina. Trudy is survived by two sons, Billy Lockwood and fiancé, Summer, of Ardmore, Okla., Billy McKenzie and wife, Autumn, of Foley, Alabama. Three daughters: Angie McKenzie, Kim Tucker and husband, James, and Stacey Akins and husband Wayne, all of Ardmore, Okla, sixteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
