Obituary of Larry Britt Skinner, Jr.

Larry Britt Skinner, Jr., age 56, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Ardmore, Okla. Memorial services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Carter County Rawhide Church with Pastor Trent Daniel officiating. Services are under the direction of the family. Cremation with care under the direction of Griffin ~ Hillcrest Crematory. Larry was born on December 31, 1967, to Larry Britt Skinner, Sr. and Sharon Kay (Reel) Skinner in Wichita Falls, Texas. He attended and graduated from Rider High School of Wichita Falls with the class of 1987. He was self-employed and worked in the siding industry and later in roofing. Larry moved to Healdton, Okla. in 2010, where he worked in security at black gold casino. He then moved to Wilson where he worked for WinStar World Casino in security and as a maintenance supervisor. Larry moved to Ardmore and continued working for WinStar Casino and part time for Lowe’s. He was preceded in death by his father, and Niece, Kiersten Wilson. Larry is survived by his wife, Sylvia Skinner, of the home, children, Christopher Bills, David Skinner, Dustin Ingram and wife Kattie, Larry Britt Skinner III, KayDee Smith and husband Tylor, Anoki Skinner, Ryan Skinner, and Max Alderman, and ten grandchildren. Mother, Sharon Kay Skinner, sister, Denise Baxter and husband, Charlie, sister, Kimberley Jones, and husband, Robert, and sister, Becky Martin and husband, Brett and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. A family celebration of his life will be following at 5:00pm, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 3033 Lavell, Wichita Falls, TX.
