Fred Louis Martin II, age 63, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Ardmore, Okla. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest. Cremation with care under the direction of Hillcrest Crematory of Ardmore. Fred was born on July 8, 1960, at Fresno, California, to Fred L. Martin and Alice (Bewley) Martin. His family moved to Ardmore, Okla., in 1962 and he was a graduate of Dickson Schools in1978. He went to work for Mancro Aviation as an aircraft painter and then for Higgins Aviation. He opened his own company “Oklahoma Jet Works” in Shawnee, Okla., remodeling planes. In 2007, when Fred closed his company, he took a position working at the Ardmore Water Treatment Plant, retiring due to ill health in 2023. Fred enjoyed going hunting and fishing, and working outside in his garden. Anytime he could, he would spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patti Grayham, and infant brother, Craig Allen Martin. Fred is survived by his father, Fred Martin and his wife, Mahota. Mother, Alice Armstrong. Two daughters: Dawnthia Martin and Samantha Simmons and husband, Brent, son Fred “Tre’” Martin III and wife, Melissa, and grandchildren: Tre’ Martin, Alizah Martin, Lucas Carey, Graham Simmons, and Logan Simmons. Sisters, Carol Roberts and husband, Keith, and Elizabeth Burris and husband, Gordon, and brother, James Martin. His brothers by choice, Ricky Boyd and Bob Holley
