Obituary of Michael Darrell Repp

Michael Darrell “Mickey” Repp, age 65, passed away on July 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Letitia Community Cemetery in Lawton, Okla., with Reverend Bill Freeman and Pastor Larry Newton Officiating. Mickey was born on December 3, 1957, to Johnnie Repp and Jeanne (Averritt) Landers, in Walters, Okla. He graduated from Lawton Mac in 1976. Mickey worked various jobs in Lawton, Okla., then moving to Roswell, New Mexico. He moved to Ardmore in August of 1986 and opened Mick’s paint and body on Moore Street. Later to become Mick’s Auto Repair in 1996. He did contract labor for Bill’s Radiator Shop. He and Bill became so close that Mickey never left and did contract labor for Bill and then Bobby Freeman. Mickey was a top of the line mechanic in Ardmore. Mickey would start a job and if he got stumped he would get up at night and make notes as his brain was figuring it out. On April 26, 2003, Mickey married Geri Anderson in Ardmore, after a short Courtship. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Davis, Okla. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne (Averritt) Landers and step-dad, Paul Landers. Mickey is survived by his wife, Geri, daughters, Keri Repp, of Tulsa, Okla., Keli Eck and husband, Rusty of Enid Okla., son, Jason Repp of Wagner, dad, Johnnie Repp and wife Louis, dad and mother in law, Gerald and Barbara Anderson of Springer, grandchildren, Tanner, Ryan, Brendon, AshLynn and Ryder, mother of our children, Pam Allen of Enid, Okla., brother, Lavon Repp of Geronino, sisters, Belinda Schrick and husband Bob, of Cashe, Okla., Charolette Dowling and husband Michael of Norman, Okla. Brother and sister in laws, JoAnn Cottrell and husband Steve, Karen Hadley and husband Bruce, Wayne Anderson and Jason Anderson and wife Liz. Lifelong friends, Bill and Karen Freeman and Jesse Stallings and lots of nieces, nephews and host of family and friends. Those serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mickey’s name to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for all your help and spiritual support. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, July 10, 2023, at Griffin-Hillcrest.
