Obituary of Willie Nathan Alexander Jr.

Willie Nathan Alexander Jr., age 58, passed away on March 22, 2023, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, March 31, 2023, at Clearview Cemetery with Pastor Albert Rice officiating. Willie was born in Ardmore, Okla. on June 21, 1964, to Willie Nathan Alexander, Sr. and Arnetta (Franklin) Alexander. He attended Ardmore Schools, where he was a member of the wrestling team, baseball team, football team and was a gymnast. Willie graduated with the class of 1982. He went on to attend Kansas City State College. Willie returned to Ardmore and started working in the construction field. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing. He loved his music; he played his guitar along with the Blues, which was his favorite. Willie enjoyed the freedom of riding his bike to get where he was going. He was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Alexander. Willie is survived by his parents; Willie Nathan Alexander Sr. and Arnetta Smith and her husband Kenneth Lee, sisters, Demetra Alexander, and Tyronika Smith, brothers, Lamont Burris and Cedric Alexander, stepbrother, Davidson Williamson and six nieces, two nephews and a host of family and friends. Prayer services will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
