Obituary of Martha Ann Jones

On March 9th, 2023, Martha Ann “Mommar” Jones passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, OK with Matt Benedict officiating. Martha was born January 4, 1931, in Ballinger, Texas, to L.C. and Vera Henry. Along with Martha, the family raised three sons, Bill, Clark, and Eddie, which whom have preceded Martha in death. In October 1952, Martha married W. Milton Jones in Ardmore, and remained married for over 70 years until her passing. Together, they started their family in Arlington, Texas, where they raised two sons, Dale and David, and one daughter, Julie. Martha was a homemaker and a school secretary for the Arlington school system, until retirement brought her and Milton back to Ardmore in June of 1991. Martha is survived by her husband Milton, of the home, along with their three children: Dale Jones and his wife, Lauren, of Grapevine, TX; David Jones, and his wife Beata, of Fort Worth, TX; and Julie Knight of Ardmore, OK. Martha also left behind seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren that she loved and cherished. The family of Martha would like to thank Cross Timbers Hospice and their staff, Heather, Brandy, and Sara along with her care givers, Rene and Maggie for their love, care, and support.
