Obituary of Donna Kay Gore

On the morning of October 16th, 2022 in Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Donna Kay Gore passed from this world peacefully at the age of 76 years old. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was born to Lonnie and Thelma Rooney in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 22nd, 1946. Their home was established in Wilson Oklahoma, where Donna spent her childhood, and later graduated. On February 24th, 1965, Donna married the love of her life, Grady Dale Gore, in a small ceremony in Hurst, Texas. Since that special day, she and Dale enjoyed over 57 years of marriage together. She was an exceptional wife, mother, friend, and neighbor, but was an even more phenomenal Nana. She was also a proud member of the First Baptist Church in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Thelma Rooney. Donna is survived by her husband, Dale Gore, and her beloved pets, Buster and George of the home. She is also survived by her daughters, Lonnetta Short and her companion Robert Walker of Gene Autry, Angela Kirk and husband Jack of Ardmore, her son, Travis Gore, of Lone Grove, Five grandchildren, Ashley Wescott, Lainey Short, Audrey Kelly, Shane Box, and Dillon Box and from her grandchildren, Donna is survived by 12 great grandchildren. She entirely devoted her life and talents to her family, and leaves a strong legacy within each of them today.
