Johanna J. Boston, age 65, passed away on October 3, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with interment to follow in Durwood Cemetery, with Pastor David Gardner officiating. Johanna was born on April 16, 1957, to John Taylor and Pauline (Mckinney) Taylor. She attended Madill High School. She married Curtis Boston in her parent’s home in Durwood, Okla. in 1978. The couple settled in Ardmore where she devoted her life to family, and loved being with her grandchildren. Johanna spent her spare time crocheting, sewing and was a self-taught piano player. She enjoyed reading scriptures and writing them by hand. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Curtis Boston, three brothers; Austin Ray Taylor, Leo Taylor and Leonard Taylor, four sisters; Lomedia Ash, Mary Ann Melton, Louise Bird Taylor and Marcella Taylor. Johanna is survived by her daughter, Chasity Boston and husband, Robert Schaumann, two grandsons, Gabriel Ned and Drako Schaumann, siblings; Marquetta Gratner, Ardmore, Okla., Myrna Boston, Ardmore, Okla., Doreen Martinez and husband Florentino, Kingston, Okla., Tammie Stiles, Durwood, Okla., Terrie Sampson and husband Ronnie, Ardmore, Okla. and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Griffin~Hillcrest.
