Obituary of Eunice Drucilla Johnson

Eunice Drucilla Johnson, age 79, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, in Waurika, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Skinner officiating. Eunice was born in Ardmore, Okla. on August 26, 1943, to Jake Luther Whitmore and Dellar Mae (Boone) Whitmore. She attended Ardmore Schools and went on to be a certified nurse’s aide. She then retired in 1975 to care for her children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Eunice was an avid fisherman and enjoyed listening to music and would never close her door to a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Walter Johnson, Jr., three brothers; Allen Whitmore, Billy Whitmore and Frankie Whitmore, one sister, Lily Underwood, one grandchild, Kimberly Johnson, great-grandson, Braylon Masten, and son-in-law, Delbert “Rockey” Shockley Eunice is survived by one son, Eugene Johnson and wife, Melissa, of Ardmore, three daughters, Pam Shockley, of Waurika, Okla., Nancy Murillo and husband, Marcio of Ardmore, and Kathy Duren, of Waurika, Okla. Fifteen grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Fay Horn and husband John, of Ardmore and Diane Everette and husband, John of Ardmore. Numerous nieces, nephews and a host family and friends. Those serving as casket bearers will be; Richard Neasbitt, Trey Shockley, Bobby Johnson, Joshua Purser, Ethan Johnson and Garrett Bolin. Honorary casket bearers will be Zackary Shockley.
