Obituary of David Eugene Swindall

David Eugene “Lil’ Swin” Swindall, age 59, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church of Milo, Okla., with The Reverend Ricky McGee officiating. Interment to follow in Jehovah Cemetery. David was born at Tatum, Okla., on November 6, 1956, to Franklin Delano Swindall and Kathryn Geraldine (Wright) Shannon. He attended and graduated from Graham High School. He went to work for Stromberg-Carlson and later at various jobs throughout Ardmore. He took a position with Ardmore Dialysis as a custodian and then worked part time for Ager’s Plumbing. He retired early due to his poor health. Lil’ Swin loved watching sports and fishing. He enjoyed relaxing with a cold beer and listening to his blues records. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Delano Swindall, mother, Kathryn Geraldine (Wright) Shannon, and step-father, Wade “Papa” Shannon; brother, Dennis Swindall; sister, Lawanna Swindall; and brother-in-law, Vincient Stephens. David is survived by three sisters, Ruby Patton and husband, Archie, Sharon Stephens, and Kathy Shannon-Swindall; two brothers, Bruce Shannon and wife, Elizabeth, and Ricky Swindall, all of Ardmore. Three step-sister and Three step-brothers of Oklahoma city. Two uncles, Larry (Maxine) Swindall and Oliver Swindall, and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, April 1, 2016, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest.
