Obituary of Jamie Ryan Linn

Please share a memory of Jamie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jamie Ryan Linn, age 44, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2016, at Christ Community Church with Pastor Artie Farve officiating. Interment to follow at Provence Cemetery, Ardmore, Okla. Jamie was born on October 16, 1971, to Gary Linn and Susan (Gustafson) Linn, in Bassett, Nebraska. He and his mother and sister moved to Chickasha, Okla., in 1980. He later moved to Green Forest, Arkansas and graduated from high school in 1990. Jamie met Cristy Roulain and they married in Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1995. From this marriage came three children. The couple later divorced. He took a position with Wal-Mart and worked his way up to be an assistant manager. He moved throughout the United States wherever he was needed. Jamie’s health forced him to slow his pace and he moved to Ardmore to be close to his parents, where he took a position with Carter County Hyundai as a salesman. Jamie had been attending Christ Community Church and men’s Bible studies. Jamie loved to fish and play golf. He especially loved spending time with his children. One of his greatest passions was being able to be a father to his children, whether that meant taking them to one of his best fishing holes, out to the golf course, or just being there for them whenever they needed him. Jamie will be remembered as being incredibly selfless. He would give anybody anything they wanted or needed and if he didn’t have it, he knew somebody that did. He was a huge sports fan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, the OU Sooners, and was a converted Thunder fan. Most importantly, he loved being with his family, and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Russell and Leona Gustafson, and paternal grandfather, Edwin Linn. Jamie is survived by his three children: son, Kaleb Ryan Linn, daughter, Destiny Brooke Linn, and son, Austin Jace Linn, all of Chickasha, Okla. Mother, Susan Pickens, and husband, Martin, of Ardmore, Okla., father, Gary Linn, and wife, Sharon, of Silver Springs, Florida, sister, Shawna Zepeda, and husband, Steve, of Chickasha, Okla., brothers: Chris Pickens, and wife, Melanie, of Dickson, Okla., and Cory Pickens, of Ardmore. Paternal grandmother, Betty Allen, of Silver Springs, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday evening at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, his family has asked friends to please make donations to Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home to his Memorial Fund.
