Obituary of Clenard Charles Shannon

Clenard Charles Shannon, age 75, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 28, 2022, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore, with Pastor Ricky McGee officiating. Interment to follow in Hickory Cemetery. Clenard was born on March 3, 1946, to Leo Shannon and Laura (Wright) Shannon, in Milo, Okla. Clenard spent most of his life working on the family farm. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, and raising animals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Laura Shannon; sisters, Yvonne Abram, Willie Lee, Ortha Dean Anderson, Shirley Jean Brown, and Pamela Stevenson; brothers, Lincoln Shannon and Tilmon Shannon; two brothers-in-law, Johnnie Abram and Henry Lee; and sister-in-law, Grace Shannon. Clenard is survived by his brother, Earl Shannon and wife, Arzelia; sisters, Peggy Stevenson and husband, James, Vernita Traylor, Sandra Shannon, and Rae Ann Shannon; sister-in-law, Hattie Shannon; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Anderson, Eugene Brown, and Larry Stevenson; and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Griffin~Hillcrest.
