Carolyn Gail Taylor-Cryer, age 56, passed away on November 10, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 15, 2021, in Durwood Cemetery. Carolyn was born on November 24, 1964, to Cecil Taylor and Ahnawake Taylor in Oklahoma City, Okla. She attended Madill High School. After high school she went to work for Chickasaw Nation Head Start and then went to work for Dollar General until her health forced her into retirement. She married Michael Cryer on June 30, 2016 at Durwood Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her True Crime TV Shows, gardening, cooking, listening to the radio and spending time with her family. Carolyn was a member of Durwood Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Douglas Jefferson and niece, Kara Sampson. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Michael Cryer, son, Dakota Taylor, two sisters, Joyce Sampson, and husband, Johnny, and Amber Walker, four brothers, Richard Taylor, and wife, Lorene, Tody Taylor, Joe Taylor and Jon Taylor, and wife, Jennifer, and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home.
