Theresa “Terry” Esther Sharp, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Ardmore, Okla. A celebration of life will be held in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest, at 10:30 am, Thursday, April 28, 2016. Interment to follow at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla. Terry was born to John Williams and Esther (Thurman) Williams at Vernon, New York, on May 31, 1930. She married David Sharp on January 24, 1950, at Buckroe Beach, Virginia. Terry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore and volunteered with the Friendly Neighbors, the Clothes Closet, and making Christmas baskets for shut-ins. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and sewing. Terry lived her life to please and care for everyone else. Her lifetime goal was for peace and happiness for all. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Sharp, and son, Donald Sharp. Terry is survived by her children: David Sharp and wife, Ann, John Sharp, Andrea Sharp, Connie Pelton and husband, Phillip, and James Sharp and wife, Marina. Fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Sister, Dorothy Moon. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Christmas Basket for shut-ins or Friendly Neighbors c/o First United Methodist Church of Ardmore, 501 W. Main Street, Ardmore, OK 73401, or to Crosstimbers Hospice, 207 C Street NW, Ardmore, OK 73401, in her name.
