Rick, we were very sorry to hear about Jacob. I remember the way you use to light up when you talked about him or his sister, and you were so proud. We never net Jacob, but it is easy to see from all the comments that he was a great person, son, and brother. I was on Delta flight 2080 from ATL to OKC on Friday, Sept. 3rd. The pilot announced that our flight was carrying 1LT Jacob Aaron Mason and we were asked to remain seated until his escort had left the plane. When the escort stood to leave the plane, everyone applauded, and even though we could have deplaned at that point, no one left, no one spoke, no one made a sound. Everyone was so respectful and there were many who had tears in their eyes. We didn't know your loved one, but we were all moved by his devotion to his country, and we are grateful for his service. From what was shared in his obituary, it sounds like Jacob was a special individual and an exemplary soldier. Thank you for raising such a fine young man. I have been and will continue to pray for your family.
