Obituary of Barbara Fleming

Barbara Jean (Harris) Fleming, age 81, passed away on August 15, 2021, in Ardmore, Okla. Private family services have been planned. Barbara was born on December 9, 1939, in Huntington Park, Calf. to Luther Harris and Annie (Freeman) Harris. She attended and graduated from Bell High School with the class of 1958 in Bell Calf. On April 16, 1961, she married Maynard “Ronnie” Fleming in Reno, Nevada. In 1969, the couple moved to Oklahoma. Barbara was a homemaker devoting her life to her children. At the age of 65, she received her LPN license and worked at Mercy Hospital until her retirement at the age of 77. She loved riding her bicycle long distance and had a passion for traveling, reading and being a care giver for her family and whoever needed it. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Milton Brown, husband of 53 years, Maynard Ronnie Fleming, sister, Iris Dolbee, and great-grandson, Baby Ronnie Fleming. Barbara is survived by her children, David M. Fleming, of Marietta, Okla., Rhonda J. Fleming, of Ardmore, Okla., Matthew J. Fleming, and wife, Kelly, of Healdton, Okla., Nancy E. Fleming-Baker, and Husband, Freeman “Jim” of Marietta, Okla., honorary child - niece, Paula Marco, of Mannsville, Okla. Thirteen grandchildren; Michael “Ben” Tinnell, and wife, Nikki, of Massachusetts, Adam Tinnell and wife, Mary, of Wilson, Okla., Morgan Yowell Tinnell, of Lone Grove, Okla., Lucas Fleming and wife, Amber, of Marietta, Okla., Andrew Fleming, of Marietta, Okla., James “JD” Brintle, and wife, Shelbie, of Marietta, Okla., Jacob Brintle and wife, Casi, of Ardmore, Okla., Elizabeth Ross, and husband, Allan of Cache, Okla., Megan Fleming, of Healdton, Okla., Garrett Fleming, of Healdton, Okla., Freeman “Jayme” Baker, and wife, Paige, of Marietta, Okla., Breanna Riner, and husband, Dakota, of Ardmore, Okla., and Jamie Perkins and husband, Michael of Maryland. Great-grandchildren; Myka and Mandy Tinnell, Abrina, Colyn and Ryder Blanton, Mikayla, Gabriella and Oliver Baker, Braylee and Aubree Riner, Grace and Mercy Ross, Jordan, Zamora and Legend Andonian, and Braxton and Jemma Perkins and two siblings; Milton “Terry” Brown and wife, Claudia, of Arizona, and Paula Edgar and husband, Bob, of Texas.
