Obituary of Patricia Leanne (Kerps) Underwood

Patricia Leanne (Kerps) Underwood, age 80, passed away on July 12, 2021, at her home in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 17, 2021, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with The Reverend David Daniel as officiant. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pat was born in Salinas, Calif. on September 7, 1940, the daughter of Joseph B. Kerps and Ida K. (Sadler) Kerps. Pat was a graduate of Healdton High School Class of 1958. She married Aaron Richard Underwood on July 4, 1957. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2010. Pat retired from Samedan Oil Corporation after twenty-one years. She was very honored to be the first female supervisor at Samedan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore and the Tuesday morning Woman’s Bible Study. Pat enjoyed family gatherings at her house and traveling when healthy. She also enjoyed her monthly lunches with the Samedan Girls Lunch Bunch. In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by her sons, Danny Joe Underwood (2/8/2015), and Dennis Underwood (6/2/1959). Pat is survived by two daughters, Jackie Eubanks and husband, Rick of Wilson, and Toni Patterson and husband, Mike of Yukon, grandchildren, Dirk Eubanks, of Ringling, Justin Eubanks and wife, Jacey, of Wilson, Michael Patterson and Fiancé, Jenny, of Yukon, Jake Patterson, of Yukon, Tanner Underwood, of Ardmore, great grandchildren, River Eubanks and Parker Eubanks, of Wilson, Isabelle Eubanks and Dalton Eubanks, of Dickson, Selena Flanagan, of Yukon, and Baby Patricia Patterson expected July 19, 2021. Pat is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Frazier, of Lawton, very special cousin, Debbie Kerps Stanberry, of Denver, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Those serving as casket bearers will be son-in-laws, Rick Eubanks, Mike Patterson, grandsons, Dirk Eubanks, Justin Eubanks, Michael Patterson and Jake Patterson. Honorary bearers will be Beata Bil, Teresa McGehee, Jana McPherson and Danielle Spencer.
