Obituary of Gerald Wayne Holybee

Gerald Wayne Holybee, age 69, passed away on July 11, 2021, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, July 16, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Skinner officiating. Gerald was born on May 29, 1952, to Oscar Cleo Holybee and Mary Juanita (Haskins) Holybee, in Ardmore, Okla. He attended Ardmore Schools. Gerald married Miss Donna King on May 22, 1975 in Gainesville, TX., and from this marriage came his two children. Their marriage ended after 19 years, though they still remain best of friends. Gerald worked for Day Concrete for many years and then took a job with Martin Marietta and worked for them until his retirement in May of 2020. He loved to go to the Casino and gamble. He loved his grandchildren and his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Cleo Holybee, sister, Brenda Holybee and brother, Ronnie Holybee, best friend and cousin, Robby Skinner. Gerald is survived by his mother, Mary Juanita Holybee, son, Tracy Holybee, daughter, Kara Moore and husband Chris, four grandchildren; Kelsey Behrens, Courtney Holybee, Kailey Holybee, and Madison Carroll, two great grandchildren; Paxton Behrens and Thomas Behrens, and two great-grandchildren on the way. Six brothers; Michael Holybee, Virgil Holybee, Alvin Holybee, Buster Holybee, David Holybee, and Justin Holybee, four sisters, Mary Thurman, Judy Brown, Cindy Miller, and Christina Quiroz and the mother of his children; Donna Stinson. A visitation will be held, Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home. Those serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Miller, Tommy Millsap, Chris Moore, Justin Holybee, Scotty Holybee, and Shorty Quiroz.
