Obituary of Gwen Trout

Gwen Trout, age 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. A gathering of her remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Cremation under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest. Gwen was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on March 15, 1928 to Blunt and Molly Bell Zorger. On June 6, 1945, Gwen married Virgil Trout and they were married for 71 years. They raised two sons, John and Richard. Gwen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Gwen was enthusiastic about life and the next adventure. She was an avid reader, a creative and colorful soul, and a lover of animals. She loved children and her tender heart was always willing to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves. She was fun and full of energy, and had an infectious personality that made those around her feel loved and welcome. She had a servant heart and made sure that others needs were met before her own. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and was steadfast in her faith. She was loved and treasured by many and will be missed. Gwen was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, her brother Joe Zorger, and her son’s John and Richard Trout. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Mavis Trout, granddaughters Kristen Cooper, and husband Casey and Keely Clark, and husband David, sister-in-law Ninette Zorger, nieces Joe Karen Wolfe and Suzanne Lance, nephews James Zorger and Ronnie Paul Zorger, and great-grandchildren Noah Cooper, Emma Kate Cooper, Micah Cooper, Colby Cooper, Westen Clark, Beau Clark and Stella Clark.
