Obituary of Opal Sue Moore

Opal Sue Moore, age 91, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, June 4, 2021, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Ardmore with Pastor David Farmer officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park of Ardmore. Opal was born one of ten children, to William P. Daniel and Florence (Mabry) Daniel in Mannsville, Okla., on September 19, 1929. She married Haskell Lloyd Moore on December 26, 1948, in Gainesville, Texas. The couple moved to Odessa, Texas, to find work. After retirement in 1991, they moved to Ardmore to be closer to their parents. She loved to study her bible. Opal loved to quilt, decorate, and sew. She made curtains and baby blankets for the family. Opal enjoyed painting ceramics and being outside working in her flower beds. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Haskell Lloyd Moore, four sisters, and three brothers. Opal is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Sue Barnett, of Odessa, Texas, sons: Gary Lloyd Moore and David Haskell Moore of Ardmore. Two grandchildren: Sean Paul Eckel and Amy Tennille Russell and husband, Joseph. Five great- grandchildren: Austin Eckel, Garett Eckel, Brook Eckel, Brylee Russell, and Brenner Russell. Brother, Johnny Daniel, and sister, Kerri Morris, both of Mannsville, Okla.
