Pamela Stevenson, age 66, passed away on February 9, 2021, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 19, 2021, at Hickory Cemetery with The Reverend Ricky McGee officiating.
Pam was born on September 8, 1954, to Leo Shannon and Laura (Wright) Shannon, in Milo, Okla. Pam was a graduate of Graham Schools, and she lived in the Milo area for a time and later moved to Ardmore in 2010. She was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for Elmbrook Nursing Home for 30 years. Pam married Larry Stevenson on February 17, 2013, in Gainesville, TX. She was dedicated to this union and would always lovingly refer to him as “My Larry”. Pam loved to decorate and was known for her flair and style. She would go on shopping sprees whenever given the chance. She will be remembered for her ability to cook and loved to do so for her grandchildren and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Willie Lee, Ortha Dean Anderson, Shirley jean Brown, brothers, Lincoln Shannon, Tilmon Shannon, two brother-in-laws, Edward Abram, Henry Lee, sister-in-law, Grace Shannon.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Larry Stevenson, daughters, Yvonne Riggs, Erica Stevenson, Lauri Stevenson, and Chamela Stevenson, sons, Larry Stevenson II, and Ryan Stevenson, eight grandchildren, Shaquille Shannon, Keyonte Shannon, Kyle Riggs III, Ja’mia Shannon, Kevin Shannon, Joseph Stevenson, Jolyssa Stevenson, Jamia Stevenson, brother, Earl Shannon (Arzelia) Clenard Shannon, of Milo, Okla., sisters, Yvonne Abram, Peggy Stevenson, and husband, James, Vernita Traylor, and husband, John, Sandra Shannon and Rae Ann Shannon, sister-in-laws, Hattie Shannon and Wenda Cohee, two brothers-in-law, Gilbert Anderson and Eugene Brown, Carl Stevenson, and wife Sandra, Marsha Burnett, Ronald Stevenson, Elaine and husband, Larry.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Lee Anderson, Earl Shannon, Jr., Marcus Smith, Bo Brown, Deon Stevenson and Leo Abram. Honorary bearers will be Gilbert Anderson, Ronald Stevenson, James Stevenson and Eugene Brown.
A visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
