Obituary of Philip Gregory Sampson

Philip Gregory Sampson, age 47, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2021, at Nelda Cemetery with Pastor Mond Davis officiating. Greg was born at Oklahoma City, Okla. on February 23, 1973, to Charlie Sampson and Brenda (Ned) Sampson. He attended and graduated from Dickson High School class of 1991. He then took a position at the Marietta Bakery and worked there until they closed. After the Bakery closed, he went to work for MBM as a forklift operator until they closed in Ardmore and he followed them to Lewisville, TX. In 2013, he left that position and moved back to Ardmore and went to work for Michelin Tire Company as a driver until his passing. Greg loved to cook for his family. He is preceded in death by mother, Brenda Sampson and sister, Melissa Sampson. Greg is survived by his father, Charlie Sampson, of Ardmore, Okla., son, Zackery Sampson, of Marietta, Okla., two brothers, Dustin Sampson and wife, Johanna and Monty Sampson, of Lone Grove, Okla., three sisters, Jennifer Spain, Kristen Deboard, and husband, Dallas, and Marlene Moore, of Oklahoma City, Okla. Special nephew Logan Purcell. Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. Those serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Sampson, Marc Sampson, Monty Sampson, Takoda Sampson, Larry Jones and Kyle Loving. Honorary Pallbearers will be his cousins. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
