Obituary of Calvin Ned

Calvin Ned, age 74, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021, in Mannsville, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Rollins Cemetery in Marshall County, Okla. Calvin was born on December 10, 1946, to Justin Ned and Anna (Davis) Ned, in Talihina Indian Hospital at Talihina, Okla. He attended Dickson Schools and went to work for Walter Gant as a ranch hand. Later, he went to work for Blue Bonnet Feed working in the warehouse, and then for Beacon Trucking as a mechanic. He started working in the 1990s for Pettit Machinery as a mechanic, and worked there until his early retirement due to his declining health. Calvin loved to listen to music and see his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters: Betty Ned, Brenda Sampson, Roberta Ned, Phyllis Sampson and Mary Ned, brother Larry Ned, grandson, Justin Ned, and great-granddaughter, Ophelia Clark. Calvin is survived by his wife Rhonda Ned, children, Kevin Ned, and wife, Jody, Elizabeth Ross and Husband, Rodney, grandchildren; Chanler Ned, Chelsie Ned, Heather Rhynes and husband, Gaylon, Kim Davis, and husband, Derrick, Rodney Ross Jr., Erik Clark, Topher Clark and Nick Clark. Great-grandchildren; Ara Ross, Audrey Rhynes, Jaxon Ned, Calvin McJagger Ned, Kaylor Ned, Aspyn Rhynes, Karson Davis, Reason Andrews, Alekk Clark, Elyjha Clark, and Navi Ross. Two brothers; Harold Ned and wife, Irma, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Curtis Ned, of Ardmore, sister, Josephine Ned, of Ardmore, and numerous nieces, nephews, and host of family and friends. Pallbearers will be Mike Ned, Kenny Ned, Curtis Ned, Dusty Sampson, Ronnie Sampson, Brian Ned, Derrick Davis and Greg Sampson. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2020, at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home in Ardmore, Okla.
