Deanna Faye Delaplain, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Ardmore, Okla. Private family services were held. Deanna was born on October 16, 1935, at Tonkawa, Okla. and was reared by G.M. Doss and Katie (Murphy) Doss. She married Robert Paul Delaplain in April 2, 1954 at Fox, Okla., and was married for 40 years. Deanna worked at Pauls Valley State School and was considered an excellent artist. She worked with stained glass, sculpting, painting carousel ponies, and painting. Deanna also enjoyed designing clothing. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her biological parents, Delmar and Beulah Hand. Two sisters: Gladys Lake and Betty Peters. Deanna is survived by her two daughters: Terry Lynn Delaplain of Norman, Okla., and Linda Diane Delaplain of Ardmore, Okla., and two sons: Robert “Bobby” Delaplain of Pauls Valley, Okla., and William “Bill” Delaplain, of Pauls Valley, Okla. Nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Sister Eloise Ellis of Peggs, Okla., and brother Charles “Bobby” Hand of Dallas, Texas.
