Obituary of Janetta Tru (Lampkin) Carrillo

Janetta Tru (Lampkin) Carrillo, age 65, passed away on June 13, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Okla., surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 20, 2019, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore, Okla, with Steve Wall officiating. Interment to follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Davis, Okla.

Janetta was born on February 5, 1954, to Otis Lampkin and Ina Mae (Cunningtubby) Lampkin, in Lawton, Okla. She married Guadalupe Garcia Carrillo on May 7, 1971, in Hobbs, NM. Janetta was a devoted homemaker caring for her family. She was a member of the Indian Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading, listening to music and crocheting. In her spare time she loved watching cowboy movies, ghost stories and antique shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Janetta is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Carrillo, Sr., Sons, Mike Carrillo and wife Laura, Lupe Carrillo, Jr. and wife, Valerie, Uvaldo Carrillo, and wife Jessica, daughter,

Georgette Shanklin and husband, Tiwoni, grandchildren, Ja’shaud and JaNyah Shanklin, Bubba Jr., Christine Marie, Christopher, CJ, Gabriel, Brandon, Dillon and Cameron Carrillo, step-grandchildren, Roman, Daniel, Max and Andrea, brothers, Raymond Lampkin and Robert Lampkin and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Griffin~Hillcrest.
