Obituary of Christopher Lee Cruz Glover

Christopher Lee Cruz “Chris” Glover, age 47, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019, in Alex, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, 2019, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Skinner officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Okla.

Chris was born July 25, 1971, in Ardmore, Okla., to Eddie Leon Glover and Loriene Marie (Sanchez) Glover. He attended Ardmore Schools. Chris worked for Askew Tire in Gainesville, Texas, for five years until he worked to get his CDL and started working as a truck driver. After working for Covenant Transport for ten years, he took a position with Recoil Oil Services in Blanchard, Okla., as a supervisor. Chris will be remembered for his sense of humor, always enjoyed raising his family, and he loved spending his time playing Corn Hole and hitting golf balls with his son.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leon Glover, Jr., and Eddie Glover.

Christopher is survived by his brother, Monty Ray Glover, and wife Theresa of Tucson Az, his children, Shelly Johnson-Simes, and husband David of Ardmore, Dell Nelson and husband Robert of Thackerville, Okla., Joshua Johnson and wife Radonna of Ardmore. Cindy “CJ” Medford, of Marietta and Paizley Fanning, of Gainesville. Ten grandchildren: Hector, Lauren, Christian, Zachery, Alivia, Cha’Risa, Katelyn, Blake, Raegan, and Riley. One niece, Sophia Glover, and a host of family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hector Almaraz, Christian Almaraz, Zachery Nelson, Derek Nelson, Joshua Johnson, Robert Nelson, and Bobby Lee.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Griffin~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
