Obituary of Janell Clarece "Nell" Blagg Visart

Janell Clarece “Nell” Blagg Visart, age 69, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019, at Ardmore, Okla.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2019, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest, Ardmore. Cremation services under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home and Crematory.

Janell was born on July 11, 1949, to Clarence G. Visart and Lenora (McGee) Visart at the Ardmore Sanitorium Hospital, Ardmore, Okla. She married Robert Blagg Aug. 18, 1967 in Ardmore, Okla. although that marriage ended in 2001, they still remained close. She worked as a Phlebotomist and Lab technician at the Medical Arts Clinic in Ardmore for over 20 years. Janell was a member at Mary Niblack Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, bowling, softball, and OU football. Janell’s favorite shows were “Days of Our Lives”,and “Hoarders”. During her free time, Janell enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and loved cooking for family and friends. She loved supporting and cheering on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at their sporting events.

Janell is survived by the father of her children, Robert Blagg, two daughters, Melissa Kay Ned and husband, Brian, and Elizabeth Elaine Blagg, four grandchildren: Taryn Rateliff, Kendra Rateliff, Landon Castello, and Ryese Whipple, two great-grandchildren; Camden Rateliff, and Madelyn Irons, sisters, Jackie (Visart) Keeton, and Marilyn Mater, Niece Carrie Luttrell, nephew Devon Maynard, beloved cousin Teresa Ossenkop, and her beloved dog, Sissy. Special thanks to Dr. Thomas McCulloh, her girlfriends; Taylor and Kris at Encompass Home Health and Cross Timbers Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that donations be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 C St NW, Ardmore, OK 73401.
