Obituary of Shelly Sue (Glenn) Richards

Shelly Sue (Glenn) Richards, age 61, passed away on April 26, 2019, at Carrollton, Texas. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Friday, May 3, 2019 in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore, Okla., with The Reverend Dan Patman officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.

 

Shelly was born at Abilene, Texas, on September 8, 1957, to Delbert Glenn and Amanda Faye (Hicks) Glenn. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. She married Eddie Richards on August 30, 1992. Shelly worked most of her life as a computer analyst in the healthcare field.  Shelly loved reading and doing crossword puzzles.  In recent years she enjoyed traveling with her sister and her great-nephew.  In 2018, Shelly moved to Richardson to be close to her sister.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Eddie Richards.

 

Shelly is survived by her stepchildren: Ryan Richards of Shawnee, Okla., Rand Richards of Euless, Texas, and Rebecca Richards of Euless, Texas, sister, Brenda Kay Boston of Richardson, Texas, nieces: Kimberly Boston of Richardson, Ashley Kay and husband, Trevor, of Plano, Texas, and her great-nephew, Jacob Daniel, of Richardson.

 

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Kay and Jacob Daniel.
