Obituary of Guy Terry Smith

Guy Terry “Pete” Smith, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Am, Friday, March 22, 2019, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest of Ardmore., with Pastor Leroy Holman officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.

Pete was born on June 21, 1948, to Howard Ellis and Tommie Irene (Brock) Smith at Hobbs, New Mexico. After graduating high school, Pete enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge. Pete worked as a pest control sales rep for Orkin until his retirement when he moved to Marietta, Okla. He enjoyed collecting and going to sales. Pete loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Patricia Bryant and Beverly “Bobi” Smith, and brother, Howard “Hoss” Smith.

Guy is survived by daughter, Patti Guebara, and son Russell Smith. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother, Dale Smith, sisters, Becky McNeely and Judy Smith Rodriguez, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
