William Payton Lockwood, age 19, passed away on July 29, 2016, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services were held Friday, August 5, 2016, at Orr Cemetery, Orr, Okla. Payton was born on March 13, 1997, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He attended Jefferson Elementary School, Ardmore Middle School and then attended high school in Lone Grove. Payton worked for Wal-Mart in the lawn and garden section and for Akins Concrete as a laborer. Payton loved to listen to music and play video games. When given the chance he would love to be outdoors riding dirt bikes with his family. He will be remembered as a person with a big heart, always trying to help others when he could. Payton liked making jokes and making people laugh. Payton is survived by his parents; Trudy and Steve Lockwood, three brothers; Billy Lockwood and wife, Alisha of Ardmore, Okla., Billy McKenzie and wife Autumn, of Foley, AL. and Dakota Garrison and wife Missy of Davis, Okla. Five sisters; Angie McKenzie of Ardmore, Okla., Kim Tucker and husband James of Ardmore, Okla., Stacey Akins and husband Wayne of Ardmore, OK, Karrah Garrison of Ardmore, Okla. and Caitlynn Tobias, of Dumas, TX., and Payton’s biological mother, Jennifer Easley Cruz of Ardmore, Okla., and nanny, Mary Stanley.
