Rosalee Phylis (Hayhurst) Ausbern, age 74, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018, in Bridgeport, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla.

 

Rosalee was born on July 26, 1944, to William Anderson Hayhurst and Virgie Faye (Graham) Hayhurst in Madill, Okla. She and her parents moved to Crane, Texas, in 1956. Rosalee married Charles Ausbern on August 8, 1958, in Davis, Texas. He was drafted into the army and they lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, from late 1960 to January of 1962. The couple returned to Crane where they raised and showed rabbits. They continued showing rabbits even after they moved to Odessa, Texas. In 1984, Rosalee sold real estate while living there. They then moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, in 1987. In January of 2001, they moved to Lone Grove, Okla., and lived there for over fifteen years. They moved to Bridgeport, Texas, to be near their daughter, Kendra, in December of 2016. Rosalee liked to do crafts, play bingo and hit the casinos.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

 

Rosalee is survived by her husband, Charles Ausbern, son, Johnny Ausbern, daughter, Kendra Lindsey and husband, Milton and one grandson, Levi Lindsey.

 

Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM, on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore, Okla.
