Obituary of Charles Edward Probert

Charles Edward Probert, age 88, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018, in Ardmore, Okla. Cryptside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June, 21, 2018, at Hillcrest Mausoleum, Ardmore, with Reverend Bob Younts officiating.

Charles was born on October 19, 1929, to Charles Edward Probert, Sr. and Oma (Bernard) Probert at St. Louis, Okla. He married Miss Wanda Gene Haines at Gainesville, Texas, on December 22, 1947. Charles served his country in the United States Air Force. The family moved several times during his military career and during Charles’ employment with Mobil Oil. The couple lived in Rapid City, South Dakota, Kansas, and in several Oklahoma towns. For twenty-five years, they lived in Fox, Okla., before moving to Ardmore in 1992 to be closer to family. The couple had been married for over 66 years when Wanda passed away in 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda (Haines) Probert, and sister, Charlsie Dolney.

Charles is survived by his daughters: Pam Younts and husband, Ted, and Janice Dilbeck and husband, Steve. His one and only granddaughter, Amanda Younts.
