Obituary of Amanda Rose Jefferson

Amanda Rose “Angel” Jefferson passed away at the age of 35, in Ardmore, Okla., on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 8, 2018, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home with The Reverend Vincent Baptiste officiating. Interment to follow at McAlister Cemetery.

Angel was born on June 8, 1982, in Ada, Okla., to Winston Jefferson and Cathy (Marris) Jefferson. She attended Plainview Schools and Carter Seminary. She worked as a dietary aide for many of the nursing homes in the area.  She will be remembered for her strength during her struggles after becoming a paraplegic from a car accident in 2011.  Angel will be remembered for her love for her children, nieces, nephews, and her great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her mother, grandmothers: Lorean Hutson and Phyllis Sampson, and grandfather, Bennett Marris.

Angel is survived by one daughter, Haley Jefferson, two sons: Benito Jefferson and Tony Jefferson, and father, Winston Jefferson. One brother, David Loma, and sisters: Kimberly Fixico and husband, Rodney, of Lone Grove, Okla., Vanessa Jefferson of the home, Jaime Lewis and husband, Colby, of Lone Grove. Five nieces: Ashlyn Salazar and her husband, Tristen, Autumn, Rylee, Rayah, and Mayda, and great-nephew, Maximiliano. Longtime companion Fabian Marin. As well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donnie Johnson, Ked Ash, Stanley John, Maurice Bond, Brandon Bond, and Tommy Garcia.

Wake services will be held on Thursday evening, 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, June 7, 2018, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with Pastor Steve Wall officiating.
