Obituary of Nancy Louise Grigsby Ritter
Nancy Louise Grigsby Ritter, 76, passed away peacefully in Ardmore, Oklahoma, following a long illness on Sunday, April 22, 2018 and gained her angel’s wings on this day. Cremation services have been entrusted to Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Glory Bound Church, 1109 N. Broadway, in Marlow, Okla., with Reverend David Woods officiating. Inurnment services will follow at 2:00 pm, at Marlow Cemetery.

Nancy was born on February 27, 1942, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Fielding and Edith (Deal) Grigsby, Sr. She grew up in the Bray and Marlow area and attended Bray Schools. Nancy married William “Bill” Riley Ritter on October 7, 1959. They had over 50 wonderful years together. She worked at the Haggar Slack Factory for several years and was a caregiver for elderly people in their homes. Nancy retired in 1999 and remained at home to care for her family. She enjoyed old western movies and was an avid reader of mostly old western books and magazines. Her children, Jimmy and Bruce, were her pride and joy. Her grandson, Matthew, joined this elite group later in her life. She always had a story to tell about Matthew. Nancy was a Christian lady of the Baptist faith who loved people.
She was preceded in death by husband, William Riley Ritter, son, Jimmy Dale Ritter, parents, Edith and Fielding Grigsby, Sr., and two brothers, Donald Wayne Grigsby and Tony Grant Grigsby, Sr.
Nancy is survived by son, William Bruce Ritter, grandson, Matthew, of Duncan, Okla., sister, Mary Hayes and husband, Doug, brother, Fielding L Grigsby Jr. and wife, Joyce, all of Ardmore, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that she leaves behind.
