Obituary of Michael Ray Galvan

Michael Ray Galvan, age 41, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 20, 2018, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with Pastor Tracy Curington officiating. Internment to follow in Provence Cemetery, Ardmore, Okla.

 

Michael was born on September 27, 1976, to Roberto Romo Galvan and Mary Genell (Zapalac) Galvan in Victoria, Texas. Even though Michael was legally blind, he attended school in Fort Worth and went on to attend and graduate from Bible Baptist Institute with an Associate’s Degree. He married Martha Roberts on March 9, 2012, in Ardmore, Okla. Although he could see only outlines of objects, he enjoyed playing video games and going fishing.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Romo Galvan.

 

Michael is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home, two daughters: Brittany Galvan of Ardmore and Angel Galvan of the home. One grandson, Matthew Phillips, of Ardmore. Mother, Mary Genell Elliott of Port Lavaca, Texas. Two brothers: Robert Galvan and wife, Charlene, of Sealy, Texas, and Carlos Galvan of Port Lavaca, Texas.

 

Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 Thursday evening April 19, 2018 in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
