Obituary of Dona J. Brock

Dona J. Brock, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, March 24, 2018. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore,  with Pastor Jimmy May to officiate.

Dona was born on September 23, 1934, in Enid, Okla., to Rodrick Rainey and Malissa (Hiney) Rainey. She attended and graduated from Enid High School. Dona married Harry K. Myers in 1960 in Enid. The couple moved to Florida for a short while in 1969. In 1970, they moved to Ardmore. After their marriage ended in 1978, Dona moved to Oklahoma City where she worked as a research assistant in the medical field with Dr. Lamb in heart research. She worked on one of the very first mechanical hearts. She moved back to Ardmore in 1990 and worked for various jewelry stores as a clerk. On September 23, 2000, Dona and Ronald Brock married. The couple enjoyed traveling the United States and visiting family. Dona was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and she loved volunteering for the Republican Party.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ronald Brock, son, Michael Fry, and  nine siblings.

Dona is survived by four sons, Gilbert Fry and wife, Janet, of Amarillo, Texas, Mark Fry of Dallas, Texas, Ty Myers of Springfield, MO., and Todd Myers of Dickson, Okla.  Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
