Obituary of Donald Wilson
Donald Wilson, age 69, passed away on October 17, 2017, at Marietta, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 23, 2017, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Ardmore. Interment will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, in Dallas, TX.
Donald was born on July 19, 1948, to James Wilson and Billy Jean (Gaither) Wilson, in Marietta, Okla. He was active in his faith and was a member and speaker in Emmaus. Donald was a Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor for over 30 years. He enlisted in the US Navy, serving three tours, five of the 14 years in Vietnam on Patrol River Boat (PBR) as a Gunner. During his military enlistment Donald was an instructor and competitor of martial arts specializing in Judo. Donald loved repairing cars, computers and anything where he could work with his hands. Donald authored two books. He will be remembered as a man with strong Christian values who loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wilson and Billy Jean (Gaither) Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Wilson, five children, Jennifer Wilson-Skye and husband Kevin, Kim Miller and husband, Jim, Chastity Jones and husband, Tim, Eric Wilson and wife Brandi, Shawn Wilson, fourteen grandchildren, Aerys Skye, Morgan Miller, Lyndsey Miller, Meagan Miller, Johnny Miller, Sarah Wilson, Miranda Jones, Lexie Jones, Tyler Jones, Destiny Wilson, Layla Wilson, Maycie Villanueva, Paige Hall, Kaelyn Wilson, five great-grandchildren, Holden Ross, Chrystal Herbst, Abigail Herbst, Madilyn Wilson, Aspen Villanueva, five siblings, Tommy Wilson, Jerry Wilson and wife Suzann, Jimmy Wilson, Sheila Greenwood and husband Ray, Nelson Barber and wife Cindy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, October 22, 2017, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Griffin~Hillcrest.
