Obituary of A.C. Hooker

A.C. “Tex” Hooker, age 78, passed away on October 12, 2016, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2016, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla. Tex was born on December 28, 1937, to William Hooker and Madie (Isbell) Hooker. He graduated from Ringling High School and joined the Air Force. In 1967, he married Jane Ann Wylie, in Tripoli, Libya. He worked for many companies including Fluor Corporation, Aramco, Brown and Root Industrial Services and then he went to work for, and eventually retired from, the Consolidated Construction Company. He worked overseas for the majority of his career. Tex was a member of Arabian-Milo Masonic Lodge Number 882 AF&AM in Saudi Arabia and Past Master. Tex loved to fish and golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jane Ann Hooker, and one daughter, Rae Lyne. A.C. is survived by his sons; Lee Hooker , of Cheyenne Wyoming, Luke Hooker of Thailand, and Jacob Hooker of Ardmore, Son-in-law, Chuck Jones of Ardmore. Grandchildren; Charley, James, and Kathryn Jones and Nevaeh Hooker, all of Ardmore. Nephews; Pete Wylie, Steve Wylie, and wife, Debbie Fletcher, of Ardmore. Half brother, Danny Brewer of Stroud, Okla. Brother-in-law, Malcolm Wylie and Wife Iris, of Swindon, England. Numerous relatives and friends all around the world. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Griffin~Hillcrest.
