Obituary of Dalbert Lyn Bates

Dalbert Lyn Bates, age 42, passed away on October 17, 2016, at Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 21, 2016, at Mannsville Cemetery, with Pastor Ken McIntire Officiating. Lyn was born on July 28, 1974, to Dalbert Leon Bates and Pamela Sue (Hunt) Bates, at Ardmore, OK. He attended and graduated with the Class of 92, at Dickson High School. He worked for Madill Paints Manufacturing until it closed down and then took a position with Michelin Tire Company. Lyn worked for Dollar General Warehouse until 2012 where he then took a position with CM trailers. He will be remembered for his humor and love of family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Dalbert Leon Bates, brother, Tony Hunt, one aunt, and two uncles. Lyn is survived by his four children; Shiann Bates of Ardmore, Okla., Antwan Bates of Ardmore, Okla., Kyah Bates of McAlester, Okla., Tristan Bates of McAlester, Okla., mother, Sue Bates, of Ardmore, Okla., one sister, Terra Cryer, and husband Danny of Kingston, Okla., and one grandmother, Joyce Brewer. Those serving as pallbearers will be Gary Bates, Paul Bates, Jeremy Bates, Derek Bates, Larry Jones, Alvin McGahey and Braxton Wade.
