Obituary of Don Allison

Don Allison, age 60, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Ardmore, Okla. Private family services will be held. Cremation services are under the direction of Griffin ~ Hillcrest Crematory.

Don was born on May 8, 1956, to Fred Allison Sr. and Judy Powell Allison at Ardmore, Okla. The family later moved to Modesto, Calif., where he attended and graduated from high school. In the 1980’s, the family moved back to Ardmore, Okla., where they opened their store, Allison’s, and later in Wilson where he worked. He then went to work for Michelin for 15 plus years. In 2008, he married Cynthia Gwin in Ardmore, Okla. In his youth, he loved playing his music, but his devotion was to care for his family. Don was a member of The Lord’s Church of Ardmore, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Allison Sr., wife, Cynthia Allison, and one brother, Fred Allison Jr.

Don is survived by his mother, Judy Allison, four sons: Steven Allison, David Allison, Zachary Justice, and Dylan Allison, seven grandchildren, father-in-law Jim Sons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
