Richard Marion Heisler Jr., 67, of Ardmore, Okla., passed away on April 22, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Richard was born in Ardmore, Okla., to Dick Heisler and Enna Jean (Norton) Heisler on February 17, 1950. He attended high school at Airline High School in Bossier City, Louisiana, and graduated in 1968. He went on to earn a degree in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University. He worked as a diesel truck driver for many years where he enjoyed seeing the country and meeting new friends. Richard enjoyed driving all over the country, working out, and being with family and friends. He loved listening to anything Elvis sang and liked sports cars, especially corvettes. He also enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers, going out to eat, and camping by the lake.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Enna Jean (Norton) Heisler, of Ardmore Okla., and father, Dick Heisler, of Shreveport, LA.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Bridgett Worley and husband, Donald, grandson, Brandon Worley, step-mother, JoAnn Heisler, brother, Johnny McCall and wife, Karen, and two sisters: Susan Freeman and husband, Larry, and Melanie Dotting, all from Shreveport, Louisiana. Cousin, Loretta Kinard, of Ardmore, Okla., the love of his life, Madonna Siepman, of Bossier City, LA, and her children: Jennifer Siepman, Colleen Siepman, and Brent Siepman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Chickasaw Indian Nation CHR staff and the staff at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Okla., for the wonderful care and compassion provided at such a difficult time.
